Spondylolisthesis Definition



The definition of spondylolisthesis is the slipping of one vertebra forward over another. This is represented by the two boxes which are not lined up. The degree that the upper box has slipped over the bottom box is marked by the black arrow. Spondylo means vertebra and listhesis means slipped.
